Now in its 8th season, KJDC is recognized for high-level instruction, a disciplined but supportive culture, and performance opportunities that elevate every dancer’s artistry.
Our faculty is composed entirely of working industry professionals who bring real-world experience from stages, companies, tours, and studios across the country. Their expertise ensures students receive training rooted in technique, integrity, and excellence.
KJDC boasts a celebrated annual recital—known for its Broadway-level production value—and a competitive team that has earned numerous regional and national titles. We pride ourselves on preparing dancers not only to perform, but to excel, lead, and carry themselves with professionalism in and out of the studio.

Molding passionate, purposeful, professionals
embodies our commitment to shaping dancers who are not only technically skilled but also driven by a deep love for the art form. Passion is at the core of everything we do — we cultivate an environment where dancers are inspired to push their limits, embrace their creativity, and pursue their dreams with unwavering enthusiasm. Purpose is integral to our training, as we encourage our dancers to understand the deeper meaning behind their movements and to perform with intention, whether on stage or in the studio. Ultimately, we aim to guide every dancer toward becoming a professional, not just in skill, but in mindset — fostering discipline, respect, and the dedication necessary to succeed in the competitive world of dance. Through this holistic approach, we empower dancers to grow into confident, capable, and purpose-driven artists.

What Makes Us
Different?
We know you have several options when it comes to dance studios, but rest assured Kim Jay Dance Company is more than an average dance studio. We are a community and pay special attention to making sure every single child feels seen and a part of something bigger. We put a heavy emphasis on promoting healthy living and academic excellence outside of the studio as well.
KJDC embraces inclusion, diversity and equality, and that is what makes Kim Jay Dance Company a place that you always want to return to year after year. We constantly recognize students with awards and special spotlights throughout the dance season in an effort to encourage great behavior and dedication. We regularly coordinate student events centered around the importance of giving back, spreading positivity and/or fun and safe socializing and bonding. All of this and more is why Kim Jay Dance Company is a place that you will be able to call home, even long after leaving.

MARCH
DANCER OF THE MONTH
Clara Marcelle, 7 Years old
Kim Jay Dance Company is proud to celebrate Clara Marcelle as our March Dancer of the Month! At just 7 years old, Clara has already been part of the KJDC family for four wonderful seasons, and in that time she has shown not only a deep love for dance but also the character and leadership that make our community so special.
Clara brings joy, focus, and enthusiasm to every class she steps into. She is inspired by Ms. Kim and Ms. Mya, and dreams of one day becoming a dance educator and teacher herself so she can inspire other young dancers the same way they inspire her. Her passion for learning extends beyond the studio as well—Clara enjoys math and reading in school, and in her free time she loves getting creative by making bracelets.
Creativity runs in the family. Clara says she is inspired by her mom, who she loves watching create art at home. Seeing that creativity has encouraged Clara to express herself and embrace her own artistic voice through dance.
Though she is young, Clara already shows the qualities of a natural leader. She carries herself with confidence and kindness, often offering thoughtful advice to other dancers who want to grow. When asked what it takes to become a Dancer of the Month and a great leader, Clara reminds others to work hard, believe in themselves, and support the people around them.
As recital approaches, Clara is excited and ready for the big stage. To prepare, she centers herself by quieting her mind, speaking positive self-talk, and saying a prayer before she performs. This calm focus helps her step on stage with confidence and joy.
Clara Marcelle truly represents the heart of KJDC—dedication, creativity, leadership, and love for dance. We are so proud to celebrate her this month and cannot wait to see all the amazing things she will continue to accomplish both on and off the stage.
Congratulations, Clara!
